Just a couple of pix of my 629 with new Kurac stocks. I can not tell you how pleased I am with these. I use to think that nothing could fit my hand better than a 1911 but these stocks have changed my mind. I found out that John (Kurac) lives just down the road and contacted him. As he was in the area last Saturday, he stopped by my home with these an installed them himself. His work is as good as I have ever seen or felt.

Beautiful Stocks & Photo .....Thanks!

Very nice. I have been looking for a Model 29, but seeing your 629 with those grips has me rethinking now.

Is your 629 recessed (cyl)? It looks like it is, but its hard to tell from the pictures. Interesting if it is, not pinned, but recessed, a transition gun as it were! I have a NIB model 57-1 that way.

Great looking stocks and you are making me drool because i have a set on order from him to go on my Nickel 27-2 with 6 inch barrel.

Recessed but not pinned!

I've seen his name and work numerous times on this board but don't know a thing about him, his work is extremely well executed, please tell me more about him, does he work at this as a hobby or is he in buisness.

Your picture just made me hunt down a Puma skinner and buy it. I guarantee that I paid a lot more then you did for it in 1969.

He does it on the side and makes what he can when he can. He has a real day job. He told me he started makeing stocks because he could not find what he wanted.
