My every day carry gear is about as un-tactical as it gets. :p
Every single item is made in the USA, which is something that's important to me.
I recently switched to these S&W factory Dymondwood magnas; they make pocket carry and drawing from a pocket much easier, in my experience.

S&W 442 (loaded with Speer Gold Dot 135 +P)
El Paso Saddlery pocket holster
Maglite LED Solitaire
Buck 55
Speed Strip (with 5 rounds of Speer Gold Dot 135 +P)

I'm really satisfied with this EDC set up; revolver with holster and reload, flashlight, and knife. Everything is made in the USA, and the total cost for it all was around $550.

My EDG and its holster are all USA, a 642 and a locally made pocket holster replacing the worn out El Paso Saddlery holster. But I never thought about my knives in that context. My EDKs are a SAK (the knife guys use that acronym all the time for Swiss Army knives) and, with the change in the law in Texas, a Boker Automat Kalashnikov 74, a little 2.5" switchblade that I really like. If I can find an American knife like that I'll switch!

Keeping it simple works!

I just picked up a knife recently - but haven't gotten into habit of carrying it. Honestly, I think it's kind of silly that I can legally carry a concealed gun but can get in legal trouble for having a concealed knife. I'm sure there's some logic (he says sarcastically) but it eludes me:)

My Grandpa thinks you have a nice EDC.

Hah! I like it.

I bet my grandpa would think its a nice EDC too. I haven't shown it to him yet, but he's still around and kickin! I'm a member of "the Glock generation," and even own a couple, so going un-tactical is refreshing for me.

Mines about the same, except a 642 and a SAK

Same as me but I alternate between a colt cobra in 38 and an lcr in 357

Maratac lights. Benchmade or leatherman knives. Galco and side guard holsters

J-frame, speed strips and holster U.S. made. Both knives, a Victorinox Super Tinker and a Spyderco Endura. are imports, but I sometimes carry an old Schrade, Queen or Cold Steel (Camillus) pocketknife.

I need to get one of those little MagLights.

Check out Piranha Knives. Outstanding American made (Idaho I believe) automatics with lifetime warranties. The "Fingerling" is I believe the closest approximation to what you are currently carrying.

Piranha Knives

PS. I have a "Bodyguard." Big knife that is not "big" if you know what I mean.

Reflecting on my choices, I feel like each choice is my respective minimum in each category--anything less than these is not adequate for me.

S&W 442 is the smallest gun I would want to carry; .38 Special the smallest caliber.
The Buck 55 is the smallest knife that still fulfills what I want in a knife.
The Maglite Solitaire is a legitimate flashlight, 30 lumens is a good general purpose flashlight.
