What a terrific post. Thanks you for sharing. You are a lucky
man. Lost my only brother years ago when he was only 59 to
cancer. Good health for both of you for a long time.

Thanks to all for the stories and confirmation that love of family is alive and well. And to those that missed out for whatever reason, I'm truly sorry. When I go to funerals and I'm at a loss for words, I always say to hang on to those memories because you just never know.

On a lighter note, he was floundering comically trying to say thanks. I just told him it was a "lifetime achievement award" ..... for putting up with his smart*** little brother!

I plan to show this to my brother, maybe give him an idea.

Actually, about 20 yrs ago, I bought a Ruger Vaquero, 44 mag., first edition, polished SS. I also bought a cowboy holster (belt and holster built together) and had it hanging on a chair. One day I saw him giving it the eye. When he sat down I went in and got the rig brought it in where we were sitting and handed it to him. I see the same look in your brothers eyes. It's easy to see your brother was choked up for a little while. This is simply one of the best posts I have ever seen. Thank you for sharing this family event.

Good job!

My big brother is my one-minute-older-than-I-am-twin and he's my favorite person in the world and I never see him because I chose to not live in the NY/NJ corridor and he chose to make lots of money and stayed there. Oh, well.

Anyway, I've been trying to give him a gun for years. It's a wonderful thing you're doing - obviously, your Big Bro does NOT live in New Jersey! :D
