My Botach Order

Saw some negative reviews on Botach here but had no prob with them 8 years ago so I decided to try them again.

Botach had the items I was looking for and the prices were very competitive. The shipping was a little high but the 15% online discount on everything more than made up for it.

Items ordered were Single point sling mounts, bi-pod adapter, 3 different slings ($9.95 ea. surprising quality for the price and surprised me), mash hooks, couple pairs of Propper BDU shorts and a pair of shooting pants.

Credit card was charged and got the items from CA to IL in a week. Everything as ordered except one item which was out of stock and was not charged to me.

Quick, painless and I will order from them again. Of course your mileage may vary. I have no connection with Botach.

I get a good majority of my stuff from Botach. I simply e-mail Dan and make sure that the items I need are in stock prior to placing an order.

I have bought from them several times in past and it has been about 50/50. I try not to buy from them any more. their customer service if you can call it that sucks.

Hit or miss. If its in stock, you're golden. If its out of stock, you're charged, then may never hear from them again.

I always call or web-chat to verify stock before ordering and have never had an issue. Not sure if they drop ship, but regular shipped items always end up at my house the next day (Nevada).

I have ordered from botach and never had a problem. They were a little slow shipping, but it was during the "Great American Reloading Event" about Jan 09.

ETA: Maybe I just got lucky.

Proofs in the pudding Dan. I tried purchasing a few lower priced items about a year ago from you'r site like I do with any new website I shop at, as a test, before making high dollar orders. I never got to the high dollar purchases because you'r system was quick to take my money but when it turned out two of the items were out of stock you weren't quick at all to help me via phone or e-mail. It was like I didnt exist for 3 weeks. Then my items didn't arrive until 5 weeks. I've had better service experiences from teenage eBay sellers. I'm not trying to be rude I'm just keeping it real. Its 2010, buying online should be like flipping a coin anymore. I assume when you talk about LEO and Military you are talking about contracts, which of course you are going to kiss their butts more than the general public.

I have never ordered from Botach but I did have an experience similar to what is being reported here from another source. After waiting two weeks for some response from the company I had ordered from I called and after some assertive questioning the gal on the other end told me that at her site they just took the orders and then had them filled from "various warehouses." In other words, everything was drop shipped and that website only existed to take the orders and collect the $. Took about a month to get my holster and no more orders will go to them.

Begs the question, is Botach a real supply house with the items it advertises actually in stock on site?

Great, I read the threads and think well perhaps all these comments have improved customer service. We'll see, placed an order and a week later I get the dreaded not in stock... well why list it if you don't have it.... needless to say I'm pretty irritated.... more at myself for reading negative threads on several forums and being gullible enough to try it myself.

Ya you better go buy as many lottery tickets as you can while you stil have this GOOD luck! There IS a reason there are SOOoooOOooOOOOOO many horror stories regarding Botach.

Wow, I finally found the grip Ive been looking for. Its a CAA UPG16 grip in the tan color. I can find it in black all the time., but the tan color is hard to find. Any way, I was ALMOST ready to checkout.. and noticed I was back on Botach.com... I just shut the page down. NOT going to deal with that bunch of loosers. They take WEEKS to get back in touch with you only to tell you the part IS STILL out of stock, yet when you first place the order, they never mention that its out of stock. They suck..Shew.. DODGED a bullet on that one.

I have been in Botach's "place of business" several different times, [I have been in two different buildings, they may have more], and can assure you that they have a very LARGE supply of stuff in stock.

I actually just ordered my 15-22 MOE from him. Took a few days to get him to answer his phone to pay but after that he shipped it out in a day or two. Got it within the week and I only paid $480 shipped, which is better then anything around.

So overall I gave him a A+ or whatever on gunbroker. Plus I went to the range today and it was great.

I can't recommend Botach based on my experience! While they didn't charge my credit card ahead of time their reponse - read, lack of still goes on and on.
I ordered a product that was back ordered for over 5 months - not their problem but after I knew the vendor had been shipping for a couple of weeks and had pieces still in inventory I started the e-mail chain which proved fruitless!!!!!
ONLY after I sent an e-mail saying cancel the order did I get a response and then, wonder of wonders I got a notice it would ship.
I'll never consider them again - no matter how good their prices are.
