My experience with a hybrid driver

I saw a Prius with mud on its bumper last fall. The woman driving it was delivering some farm product to a local store.
Saw another one coming out of the woods as I was going in to deer hunt.

Talked to a Prius owner at an Appleseed Shoot in Wisconsin in May 2008. Gas was $4.25 a gallon at the time. He liked the car, except for winter driving, too light in front, he said. He seemed like a good guy and was a rifle shooter.

A few "normal" folks must own them.

Prius drivers have a reputation among motorcycle riders that's not good.

I had one terrorize me on Hwy 92 last year. Tailgating and generally trying to run me down on my V twin. *** she was thinking, I don't know, but I outran her smarmy butt and eventually lost her.

I call them Piouses, because the drivers tend to think of themselves as better than the rest.

I consider them misguided fools.

These people are just seething right now and they are so put off when everyone else doesn't buy into their elitist BS.

I just rev the Tacoma repeatedly, and when they look up I point at them and laugh in their faces which infuriates them all the more....

And why not? None of them are armed.... I keep hoping someday I'll see a head explode....

That's prudent. You can load the Prius in the bed of the 4WD as a spare. Maybe consider it a dinghy.

Hybrid owners are usually the ones with Free Tibet bumper stickers; they shop in the organics section of the grocery store, and in the summer, ride their bicycles in the road like they own the streets.

I live in a northern Mi resort area where the population goes from 7500 to over 40,000 in the summer months (July & Aug). The predominant tree-hugging/lib vehicles of choice are not Prius's......they're Land Rovers, Bimmers, Benze's and Lexus's. Usually driven by winter Floridians that turn left with their right turn signal on.

I love the looks from prius drivers when I'm driving my big, electric blue, 8mpg, NRA sticker-wearing Rover.

My son-in-law can't keep his Rover(s) running long enough to get 8 mpg.

When we go to the Orlando gunshow, my shootin' bud drives his Prius. Makes the roundtrip a heck of a lot cheaper. Yes, they're smaller, Japs own the company, Americans work in many Toyota factories and support their families, but at least the AFL-CIO isn't running them. My son-in-law's Corolla just turned 300,000 miles; not bad. Maybe that's why they're #1 in the world.
One of my friends always calls them Jap-cra_. Retired union guy. Of course, he drives a Chevy and has absolutely no idea where all the parts of his car are manufactured and where it's assembled. Everybody has their own ideas.
In Michigan, 40,000 day-care centers, owned and run by house-wives, just got word that they are now part of the AFL/CIO and part of their money goes to the union...for nothing....The state of Michigan refuses to comment. Go pick the world YOU want to live in...
Go figure. Does Obama live in Detroit?
