I found this on You Tube. It's my favorite episode of Gunsmoke. Dennis Hopper plays a bad guy, but the main guest star is somewhere between good and bad. This guy is great in the two Gunsmokes I've seen him in. But he never really made it in movies in America. He's John Drew Barrymore, dad of Drew Barrymore, and had an obvious famous actor for a dad. This guy had many personal problems, including drugs, and ended up a hermit living barefoot in the woods before his death. He was a really good actor as evident in this action packed 1966 episode of Gunsmoke. This is a pretty complicated and multi dimensional plot as TV shows go.

I saw that one and thought the same thing. I got his name from the credits and looked him up. What a shame he shared the family disease. I would have liked to have seen more of his work. Watched Lionel Barrymore as Andrew Jackson in a Joan Crawford film yesterday. Talented family.
