I am sending my shield .40 in for repair. It took two calls and a week to get the return label but I will assume it was an email problem. Each time they were very willing to help. I am sending it off today and will keep everyone informed of how it goes. I think most of the time customer service is great and I like to tell everyone when they are. So far, they have been very helpful.

What was the problem with your Shield?

Magazines were releasing when fired. Primarily the extended magazine but the flush 6 round did it a couple of times as well. The extended was dropping on every shot.

Took 13 days from the time they received my wife's Sigma to the return in our hands. Here's hoping it is as quick as that, or quicker.

Well, pistol has arrived at smith this morning at 8:58am. Here's to hoping it won't take long. Maybe I will get mine back in only 13 days.

Had to send my .45 FS in for a barrel modification. However, I went through my LGS as a middle man because they have a very good relationship with S&W. I think depending on the problem or what you're requesting, it could take as little at 2 weeks to 4 weeks. Maybe even longer. Mine was returned just 2 days short of 4 weeks. Nothing against the customer service at all, because as far as I am concerned it is great. I called once because the grip tool on my FS .45 was coming loose and the little nub on it was wearing down and all they asked for was my name and address and three days later I had a brand new grip tool in my mail box, free of charge. Be patient and you will be pleased with their service. They do a good job.

They are having a problem emailing shipping labels. I just got off the phone with them. They are mailing me a return label.
