My First Highway Patrolman. Help w/pics?

Just arrived!! It's a Pre-28 sn 1111xx dating to the 1950's, 4" barrel. Love it. Shoots great too.

I tried all day yesterday to post some pix but just can't seem to do it. The pix are on my computer but when I try to load them on to Photobucket they partially load and then fail. Over and over again.

Anyone know how I can fix this problem? Don't know if it's my computer, me, or just a slow connection. Some of the pics are around 900KB and some are around 267KB.

The gun came from fellow forum member snw19_357. He's a great guy to deal with.

Try to download just one picture at a time on photobucket - see if that helps??

The letter S prefix is part of the serial. For some reason many folks omit or ignore the letters in serials. If I recall correctly the HP started at S111,000 (something) so yours is a very, very early one. I have one that's S116,500 or so and it shipped like Nov. of 1954 (1954 being the first year for the HP).

Photobucket has got to be too troublesome, very slow. I just use the manage attachment part of post reply. The picture will be a thumbnail but can be enlarged by just putting the arrow on it. It's easy and quick.
We would love to see that early HP.

Try a progrma like Picasa which is through google. You download the program and then if you have a digital program you just simply plug your camera into the computer and the program recognizes the pics and puts them into the program. From there you can edit, change the file size and then export them to a folder. It is an awesome, and free, program. Give it a try.

Agreed, excellent shape for having the half century mark in the rear view mirror. Congratulations. I recently acquired a six-inch HP from 1955 in the same condition. Very accurate gun.
