My First Mustang GT

On my test drive, I went from 50 to over 100 mph in a couple seconds. That sold me. I haven't done that since. It's a 7 year old one owner car, just over 55,000 miles. My insurance actually went down from the 5 year old Malibu I traded in. I decided to spring for the Ford warranty, mainly because of all the computer stuff. I opened the hood once. I have no business looking under the hood except to check the oil and add windshield washer fluid. This is definitely a fun car, top up or down.

Love the Bullitt and grabber blue colors!

My first was an '89, but not a GT. That one was a drag car and lots of fun. Had a '98 GT... better chassis than the '89, but the 4.6 V8 was a disappointment. We test drove a '16 GT 'vert, but it felt bloated and the suspension was overly soft so we passed. We bit on a '17 Performance Pack GT, and enjoyed it, but moved on when we got a chance for a great deal on a ZL1 Camaro. As much as I like the Ponies, I've never kept one all that long.

I dunno Warden, that Bullet Edition looks muscular enough to drive straight up an incline like your first picture showed! My first car was a 66 Mustang, and I have always loved them ever since. Here you can see my 67, 289 with three at the knee and sharp eyed viewers will see a 66 Notchback in front of it. I had a suit and tie job back in the 80's and no adult supervision. So lots of cars and motorcycles!

I dropped my F150 off at the dealership this morning to get some work done on it. While waiting for my ride home to arrive, I walked through the showroom to drool. The only Mustang was a convertible GT 60th anniversary edition. It was the only vehicle in the showroom with the sticker visible. It was $72,000+.

Some of you may remember that I so wanted a 2023 Mustang Mach 1. The local dealer had the exact one I wanted so I went to check it out. My first worry besides price was whether or not I could get in and out of it. I am an old “big boned”guy. I was able to get into it with no problems, BUT I couldn’t get out of it without extreme difficulties.🙁 I was so disappointed, I didn’t even take the test drive. The throaty sound on that jewel was spectacular!!

Congrats OP for your awesome ride.

My mustang is a 2003 Mach 1 . I've had it since 2005 , someone traded it in and I jumped on it . I really wanted a Cobra , but they were rare at the time . They only made a little over 14,000 of them in 2003-2004 . I've had more than a few pull up to the house and ask if I wanted to sell , but there's no way . She sits in the garage , I put about 500-750 miles a year on it . It's an automatic , but after the mods to it when it goes from 1-2 the rear end will go all over the place . I could supercharge or turbo it , but I don't need the tickets .
