Hi everyone

Just thought I'd post up now that I'm finally a 15-22 owner

Picked mine up yesterday from Dauntsey Guns near Swindon in the UK, and then bolted on the various bits and pieces I'd bought for it

Fired 150 rounds of CCI Mini-mag through it last night with no issues

Thanks for the forum for being full of great information !

Here's a few pics (not sure how the quality and sizing will be since they're from my cam phone)

cheers

Raj

ps. the bipod is only on since I have a broken left arm in a cast and I can't use it ... that reminds me ... anyone else had a plate screwed into their wrist and how long was it before you got back to shooting ? guessing recoil isn't the friend of a bone knitting back together ... even from the weeny .22LR

That is one nice looking 15-22LR. Question for you what is holding the two magazines in the middle?

some FAB Defense mag clamps ... I need to give them some dremel loving for a better fit ... but it'll do for the range

:)

Nice 15-22. I should be getting mine in about 10 days or so once i get paid(43hrs of over time ;)). Im Still debating if i should get the MOE version or the standard.

depends what you'e going to do re: stock, grip and optics

I've taken off the MOE grip and put on a Hogue

I'm sure there are peopler who changed the stock too ... I do like the VLTOR one from the PC version

the MBUS are nice but for range work I doubt I'll need them since I'd just change batteries or for comp I could swap batteries beforehand to remove the need for them

with hindsight maybe I should have gotten the PC version since I'll not be using Stingers

but TBH I think for plinking any 15-22 will be fine

:)

Everything but the tactical bottle opener.

Looks good though

the bipod will be dropping off once my arm gets better ... other than that and the mag clamps is it really that much of a tactical tart ?

LOL

:p

Welcome from Oklahoma!

Tactical tart??? The beauty of the 15-22 is that is can be whatever you want! Spend some time in the picture thread and you will see just about anything you could imagine, and probably a few things you didn't.

No plate in my wrist, but I do have a replacement disc in my neck, which will be coming out in a few weeks to fuse half my neck into a single piece. I wish you the best of luck in your recovery!

Hi Raj

I live not far from Dauntsey Guns, where do you shoot, I also have just picked up a 15-22 and not shot it yet.

MOE, it's the only way to go! ;)

hi there

I'm in Reading, so Dauntsey was an hour away for me

I shoot at Pinewood Pistol Club on Tuesday nights

Pinewood Pistol Club web site

it's a really friendly club, and great value ... probationary members pay £2 range fees per night with CCI blazer @ £2.50 for 50rds ... though I run CCI mini-mag in my 15-22, and annual membership is £60 with no range fees to pay

drop me a PM if you're interested in trying us out

:)

Raj

I shoot at WITNEY, near Oxford on a Sunday morning,
9.00-13.00.

Just wondered why you went all the way to Dauntsey for the gun.

nowhere local that had a 15-22 in stock and they seemed friendy over email, and were in person

:)

it was only an hour each way ... not much of a trek

raj_UK and rngunner,

I didn't think that semiautomatic rifles were legal to own in the UK. Am I wrong, or is there an exemption for .22 rimfire?
