MY GARDEN IS PROTECTED !

i'm in big trouble here. i love all these guys to pieces. but i kinda promised 2.
if i keep them all, i become a crazy cat lady.
i'm weird enow as it is.
my only hope is that they drive me totally insane.
then i'll be throwing kits at complete strangers.

my last report was incomplete.
the kits are growing daily, probably because drifter is well fed.
when born, they were the size of mice, now they fill a shoe.
they are fascinated with those stinky shoes. they are my gardening shoes that i don't wear in the house.
they probably have traces of compost n manure on them.
they chew on these shoes but ignore others.

also, last week they were active three times/day, for 15 minutes.
now it's four times, for up to a half hour, making drifter n me crazy.
i'm loing sleep because one active period runs past midnight n i stay up to supervise.

Like with babies, sometimes you have to nap while the kitties do [emoji4] I had twins when my oldest daughter was 18 months so that's what saved me... Naps!

rusty, any ideas how i can doctor her without getting my hands on her?
she probably has every disease known to cats.

I agree- if you trap her, you may never see her again after releasing her. Feral cats are the wildest, wariest animals I have ever dealt with.

Don't worry about diseases. Just worm her and it might help a lot. Spike the food. She'll eat it. Especially if she has a litter somewhere.

well, lee, some find it interesting, some don't'.
some of my methods work with other wild animals, specifically the supine protocal.

drifer was tired of chasing kits around. me too.
so, i gave her a bigger box that will fit a litter box.
but, i made the sides 12'' high instead of 8''.
i thot this would pen them for a week.
they were penned for all of 2 minutes.
once cats get the idea of climbing, they climb.

these guys are driving me crazy. drifter n i lost 3 kits.
natayo was sleeping with me.
they sleep at the same time, so i knew they were asleep, but we couldn't find them.
i gave up, but drifter didn't.
eventually drifter went behind the couch n started complaining.
i looked back there, telling her i already looked there, when i saw a kitten leg.
well, the back of the couch is higher from the ground than the front.
that was their new home.
.grrr.
well, i don't allow cats to set up housekeeping under my couch, especially when they haven't learned the litter box.

now, these guys were protesting the new box i gave them.
i wanted tall walls with a litter box inside
they decided the tall walls were too much work so they moved out.
i couldn't deal with this so i put the old box back.
moved the coffee table.
moved the end table.
finally moved the multi ton couch, cussing n growling.
tossed those kits in their old box, shouting about showing respect.
they don't seem to notice my shouting as they were out of the box in seconds.
lucky, i had prepared barriers n put them in place before the kits could get back in.

so, of course, they went behind the freezer.
fished them out n blocked that.
tomorrow, it will be something different.
