I enjoy this thread susi.
Long time zoo keeper here, and it sounds like there ain't enough of you to go around. I have that problem too.
One of my three, the dark tortie, must always, always be on me if I sit. When at the reloading bench, she sits amongst the debris and watches. A little hair doesn't seem to affect accuracy.
I have male that is pushing 18. He has always been an in and out cat. Although snipped, he would still go on multi day walkabouts, drove me nuts. We have a lot of coyotes here in the liberal utopia, but he must have known how to avoid them or he wouldn't be around today.
He was my bunny killer, but not so much now. He used to be king of our area. Now just king of pillows. He has many war wounds.
There is a gnarly carmel that peeks in the window ever so often, looking for him to come out and fight. All he gets now is me and the dogs.
My other two are 5 year olds, his replacement sisters. Here they are holding me down as we watch tv. They don't go out.
The other photo is Kozzmo's last confirmed kill.
