I see a lot of people posting on here everything they've done to their 22s and I'm finally getting to a point where I'm happy with mine so I thought I'd share. I realize that it isn't exact by any means, but I was going for something similar to the M4 SOPMOD look.

What kinds of groups are you shooting at 50-100 yards? Any idea? Thanks

It's hard to say for both really as I haven't done a very accurate test on paper at those particular distances... Here is what I know... at one time I had one of those cheap NCStar fixed power tactical optics on it and 12oz beer cans placed among rocks at 100-125 yards were no problem consistently... that was sitting on a bipod that I had mounted at the time... my most recent sight in with the current setup was at 25meters (around 27yards) and I was shooting dime to quarter size 3-5 shot groups laying prone supported with the Holo and the iron sights either or. Most groups would have 2-3 damn near in the same hole with one or two flyers. There was a little bit of gusting wind that day to so that probably played a little into it as well, but at that range it was probably more me the shooter than anything. Overall I'm happy with it for what it is... after all it's just a 22. At one time I wanted to go with a SR-25/MK12 look/setup since long range shots are more my thing and even more fun with a little wind and a box of skunk beer (my favorite target... you've heard of the pink mist... this is the white foam :) ) Hope that somewhat answers your question. Oh and I've been shooting the blue-box Federal 40gr solid lead and the Federal AutoMatch 40gr most of the time since I've had it with descent results... now that it's more of a CQ setup I'll probably stick with that stuff, but if I was ever going to go back to long range plinking I like just about any CCI in the 100rnd cases (minus Mini-Mags... can't shoot those in the Performance Center).

Thanks for the comments everyone!
Vr,
Adam
