My M&P Shield, Stippled, notched and crayolaed

I color the logos on the bottom of all my S&W mags -- to distinguish the M&P9 from the M&P40 mags in the mag bin. White for 9mm, Blue for .40. Doesn't look bad and helps make sure I take the right ones with me to the range. Nothing wrong with a little personalization, either wax or nail polish.

I used different colors to help match my FS M&P9 and M&P40 slides and magazines. Gold for the 9mm, silver for the .40. Just one more way to try to "error proof" by adding another visual indicator.

I do admit that I like the antique gold better, so I also used it on my Shield40 and on the lettering on my Ruger Mark III Target as well. A bunch of people at the club are also shooting Mark IIs and IIIs in competition, and this really stands out as something a little different. :)

I went and grabbed a white crayon. Now I don't know if its a good idea.

I just want to be able to get it out as quick and easy if I choose to.

I must say I felt a little weird as a man going to the store and staring at all the nail polish, as I searched for plain white. And who knew that there would be as many different kinds of nail polish remover as there are nail polish colors...

Thank God for U-scans!

I went to Target today and got my nail polish there. The cheapest was NYC brand at less than a dollar. I bought white as well as a couple of pinks. I also bought a pink glitter. It looks pretty. I would post pics, but it is hard to notice the glitter unless you are moving the slide back and forth. I also bought the non acetone polish remover there.

FYI guys.... ^^^^ she's a lady, she can get away with pink glitter on her guns...

NOT recommended for you burly dudes. ;)

I have been using the new Paint Pens from Sharpie. They offer Water-Based and Oil-Based so make sure you get the Oil-Based. I bought a set of Primary Colors at Michael's with a 50% Coupon for $8. Great product and easy to use. I used the Red and White for the F & S on my Sig 556 SWAT Patrol and the results are phenomenal.
