About two years ago, one of the guys in our shop came in with his late uncle's Model 14 and asked if I was interested in it. He wanted $200 and it came with 200 rounds of .38 wadcutters and a nice leather shoulder holster from A. E. Nelson of Salem OR. Couldn't pass it up
The serial number on the frame matches the number on the bottom of the grip as does the number on the cylinder crane. The crane also has a letter K in the middle and the number 3 on the lower right corner (as you look at the s/n. The model is stamped as Mod 14 and the serial number is K397xxx
The only real sign of wear is on the muzzle and that's probably from the holster. No scratches or dings. It has the wide trigger and hammer. And it's much more accurate than I am!
Can anyone tell me the year it was made and if I scored a good deal??
