Took this ugly duckling and sent it to Frank Glenn. He cut and crowned the barrel at 5" - Reinstalled the front sight and added a McGivern gold bead - Reblued weapon.... Ahrends grips 2" to 2 1/2" groups at 25 yards......

Great looking redo and a 5 inch N frame is my favorite N frame revolver.
 
I like the 5" length and wish S&W had offered it on more models.

Not too keen on the Patridge sight. Anything under 6" should have a ramp, IMO (yes, those 3.5" RMs with Patridge sights make me crazy).
 
That is very cool. I have an old 28-2 that could use a workover. I have a new 6 1/2" 1950 barrel and with a cylinder, could have something like yours built (I love the 5" barrel). Where's Frank's shop?
