Greetings Everyone....

Well, I shipped my MP 45 back to Springfield today. The pistol operated great, very accurate!

But that Pin under the take down lever, kept working lose. Just be waiting to get it back!

Miss it already!

It is good that mine has company. I have been very happy with how Smith has been willing to get it right and they seem to have great CS but just a really odd system.

I called to see if they could send me a tracking number when it gets done so I know when to be home to get it. They let me know they only get that once it is shipped, and I have to call to find out.... the guy was a little snotty about it, so my response: "So the only way to do that is to call and ask everyday between now and whenever it may ship?" His answer" "Yes." So now I am calling every day as it has been longer than the two weeks quoted when I mailed it in.

That guy just annoyed me, everyone else has been fine, though they just tell me to keep calling which seems like a waste of time. I can't believe they have no way to e-mail a tracking number automatically.

Just called and she is on her way back, I have to call to get a tracking number later on but it should be here Friday. I am hoping once I get the tracking number I can have FedEx hold it at the Depot so I can get it on the way home, and not wait till Monday.

That would make this a great weekend. Take out my new M&P Pro 9 and 45 for some fun.

I am sure they will get you squared away, it took about three weeks for mine. All in all not bad, but annoying with a new purchase but stuff happens as they say.

Hi Lucy..

Thanks for the info! They just received mine yesterday. I think I will call them late next week.

I am with you on them holding it at the Depot. Im not home most of the day, and will most likey miss the attempted delivery.

I kind of thought we might get some automated e-mail with tracking # but guess not.

I hope they took care of your issue!

Best

Bob

The guy I actually talked to last said that they should have been able to do what I asked, but didn't go into detail. He was a great guy to deal with.

I hope to pick it up tomorrow when I get off work. I just called FedEx and setup the hold. The Depot actually called and said it would be available as soon as it gets to them, it would not even go out for one attempt which is what the 1800 people said.

First time ever having to deal with shipping a Firearm it was about as hassle free as one could expect.
