Just recently snagged this, pretty crisp but
A little box burn and it looks like everyone who touched it pushed the extractor rod, lol
I did clean it and it appeared to have 3 burn rings but 2 of them were next to each other, not every other hole like I’ve seen on some of my early 629’s
Anyone ever seen that before?

Thanks for confirming that.
I was just looking at it, it’s really too nice to become a shooter.
Much nicer than the pics, sitting on an old dusty bear skin.
I have my cherry 617-1 safe queen and a 15ish year old 616-6 that lives in my range bag ( my favorite and most consistently accurate revolver )
Plus several j frame rimfires ,not really sure why I bought it….but it’s living here now.

It looks like you came across a nice one. I've been taking my model 63 with me to the range more often. It's quite the eye opener when I swap back to the 629!! Congrats Chris.

Thanks tinknocker
They are different in a very good way…
Plus
I like dumping the brass in a scrap bucket
Lol
