With much gratitude to a forum member, I have been able to aquire a beautiful circa 1972 Chiefs Special as new in box, complete and all matching. A worthwhile and welcome addition to my fledgling Chiefs collection.
I'm always a little nervous at posting just to 'show off' a new addition but I've you chaps are anything like me, I just can't get enough of seeing beautiful old Smiths like this one, so I thought if anyone can appreciated it you guys would.
A silly idea but now I have a ANIB 1972 Chiefs Special, I'm thinking perhaps I should try and collecting similar examples for each year of the whole decade....

That's a real beauty you've got there Roy.
Also looking forward to watching your Model 36 family grow. I finally figured out what causes babies. Now I know what causes little Chiefs... "Thinking"???
Thanks for sharing picture of your new arrival.
Ray
Definitely a beautiful revolver and yes I enjoy looking at everyone's collection. There is no way that I could collect everything that has been shared in pictures. It is really nice to be able to admire others firearms. So thanks to everyone
The only ANIB S&W that I own is a 1976 version and, like yours, the only evidence that the box was opened is the crumpled brown paper. They are beautiful!
