My new 28-2

Picked it up today. 28-2, 4 inch barrel, original box, really nice shape. These grips were on it and it came with an extra set of targets. S/N 2810XX, from what I've found, late 66, early 67 production. My first N frame....

A lot of folks gravitate to the 3 1/2" guns....... I prefer the 4" in a 28/27 N-frame...... and a 3" K-frame.......... myself.

I say you did pretty good getting a 28-2 with box for that price. I sure wouldn't hesitate to buy for the price you paid.

I have been out of the game for a while as guns just haven't been turning up in my area. I didn't hesitate at all when my local shop had it on one of my stops in.

N-frames rarely are found in my part of the country. When they do, they get snapped up quickly. $540 would be what a worn shooter grade 28-2 would bring in this neck of the woods. I think that you got the better end of your deal.

Hi-
The 'NT" stocks are slightly smaller than regular N Frame Target Stocks, and desirable to many with a smaller hand. You could get 150 or so for just them if you do not want them.

Once you own an older "N" frame with a pin in the barrel, you'll never look back. Great gun!

They are a little smaller all around, Mike. They are nice whether or not you have smaller hands.
