I heard a rumour that a local distributor had some brand new S&W semiautos, so I called a friend who works at a gun shop and had him check. The local S&W importer had somehow misplaced a shipment of 3rd Generation pistols some years ago and just happened to find it a couple of months ago in one of their warehouses, at least that's the story they're going with.

I didn't much care about how or why those guns ended up there, I was happy to find new in box S&Ws (the Argentine firearm market is quite pityful). I'm a revolver guy, but I have a soft spot for single stack .45s.

Anyway, I ended up picking up two guns: a 457 and a CS45. Both for a very good price.

I've shot a few hundred rounds (mostly my own reloads) through each of them with no issues, and I'm really pleased with their accuracy.

The CS45 shot better than I thought it would, I definitely enjoy it more than the 457. I ordered holsters for both of them, I'm still waiting on the one for the CS45 (I've been using the universal one in the pic)

I recently purchased a CS45. In a word....AWESOME!!! I do not understand why they stopped making this gun. When I bought it I picked up a cheap Stickey Holster. Never heard of it before, but for $16, why not try it. Not real crazy about the holster, but my CS goes on my side when I get dressed, and doesn't come off until I am getting ready for bed. Never even know it is there. We all know people say we don't carry to be comfortable. Well this gun is exactly that comfortable. I never have any discomfort or anything. Trying to see if they have a Crossbreed holster for it now. Lord willing, I will have this gun the rest of my life.
