SeamasterSig the extra length and flare at the bottom helps get a real locking two hand grip on that thar grip sar!

No doubt the long barrel, overall weight, and grip shape help tame the recoil of that cannon. But I bet your right hand would still hurt for a while after a whole box of proper 460 magnum 360 grainers

I saw the videos (at least I think I saw them all), but all I noticed for sure was the 45 Colt. At any rate, it looked mild fired out of that gun. And it surely is compared to 460 S&W, which if I understand correctly can potentially be loaded to well over 2500 fpe at the muzzle. Now that's what I mean by "ouch". Compared to that, even hot 45C is wimpy. But then again, I live in South Florida and say something that can be translated as "ouch" after shooting a box of 158 or 180 grainers producing around 700 fpe out of my 4-inch k-frame, so what do I know

l found a load for AA#9 powder and a 200gr Barnes on the Accurate Arms reload data website l plan to try.. Velocity is listed @ 2490fps for the max load from an 8 3/8''. Not saying l will load to max or not. lt should turn my 10 1/2'' PC 460 into a ''MEAT COLLECTOR''

Someone mentioned some shots in the light outside. It just so happens it's light out 20 hours a day Well I had misplaced these pics and have been trying to get them back and here's the rest- the darker grain really sets it of imho- fb

That is one BEAUTIFUL revolver! I've got a Lew Horton PC 500 mag that looks almost exactly like it except all silver and of course in S&W 500 Mag. But I am *REALLY* liking the look of that grip. How bad is it for recoil? Maybe on mine with less-than-tyrannosaur-rex loads, it might be doable and save the rubber for the hard-core stuff? Wonder how they'd look on this one?

Cool!!! Well, maybe everything in Alaska is 'Cool'. lol (joke). Really nice handgun, a little out of my comfort zone for concealed carry, but if I were living where things that can eat me live, it would be just the ticket!!! Enjoy. And no matter what calibers you shoot, reloading adds a whole new dimension to your shooting experience.

The pistol grip (Nill) deals with recoil very well. I might add that the full underlug and massive weight of the barrel itself work together well to deal with recoil.
If you are looking into getting the grip BE SURE to read this whole post, there is the slightly smaller identical model and there is a difference and one will suit you better than the other. For sure.
By all means get this gun. $2000 or under would be an excellent deal if you Are lucky, though anywhere up from there are gettable anytime.
I have been reminded that I did not add in the last couple vids of the bigger loads and I'll do it next week when I'm not on 24 hour call at work. Be cool, freezerburn
