I just picked up a Taurus model 460. This is the 5 shot, 45 Colt in an K/L sized frame. Locks up tight and fits all of my K-frame holsters. I haven't been able to shoot it yet, but so far, I'm happy with it. I was really tentative about picking up a Taurus, given the QC issues, but this one looked well made, and since S&W doesn't make anything comparable, I took the leap. (I'd much rather have a 696 if anyone wants to swap
)
Anyway, I had a few "Stellar" clips laying around from an old 455 that I used to have, and popped in five 45acp snap caps. They fit right into the cylinder, and it closed and functioned as it should.
Does anyone have any experience with these? Has anyone shot 45 acp out of a 45 Colt Taurus?
I'm thinking that standard pressure ammo should be safe, given that this is modern steel, and I've heard many stories about happy 45 Colt Mountain Gun owners shooting 45acp's out of their guns. Thanks!
