Hey Gang, 3 weeks ago while walking through the tables at the DFW Gun Show I found this. A New Unfired 2008 Model 57 MG. I Paid 675 after some haggling. It was like Christmas For me, bought ammo and went to the range the next day. I was making clovers at the 7m line. Next I went to XS and had them install there sights, talk about easy target accuasition. Then I called El Paso Saddlery and ordered a 1942 Tanker Shoulder Holster. So here are the results.... Thanks, Sutty

very nice indeed...i have several 41 mags.and they may just be my fav.caliber...i just picked up another late last week...it's a 4" blue M57 with the checkered targets...appears unfired, shipped aug.1979....i would suggest reload for 41 mag.i can do 50 rounds for about six dollars...lots cheaper then factory...love your shoulder holster as well !! congrats!

I ***LOVE*** my m57 mountain gun....say.....I *think* that holster will fit....*kaff*kaff*.......

It's the caliber gawd had in mind when she invented shot & shell....

Welcome to the .41 mag addicts association. I gave my son a 657 Mountain Gun for his college graduation some years back. That got both of us started on 57s, 58s, and 657s. You just can't pass one up sitting on a table... enjoy!

Nice. I have a 57MG that I really enjoy as well. Simply Rugged holster works great fo me.

Nice find. Those are hard to come by. I picked up one a year ago from Reds Trading Post off of Gunbroker. It was new and very stiff but I was glad to find it. Cleaned and lubed it was better. I was going to put in a Wolff main spring, but haven't gotten around to that. The DA trigger breaks at 12 lbs. I need to break it in a little before I mess with it any more. Right now it's a safe queen.

Ammo is the big challenge. You really need to roll your own to use a 41 very much. Anyone have a light to mid-range recipe they'd like to share?

I like your holster. This one is from Lobo Gun Leather.

vern...consider reloading the 41 mag(and others)around here a box of 50 remington 41 mag.can go for $65....i can reload 50 target rounds of 41 mag for about $6.00...hunting/self defense rounds just a tad more....mega savings..you get what you want, when you want it

Nice gun and rig. As for the rig, I carry an old shooter grade M19 4 inch in one these. This is a great way to carry on the 4 wheeler or with coveralls on in the brush. The tanker style holster is a great addition for anyone to have.

m57 & holster

Looks just like my 57-5 MG. Is the front sight the big dot ? The tanker holster looks like it would be good in the woods. Handload , 210 grain bullet with 21 grains of winchester 296.
