My new SW22 Victory

The year prior to the pandemic (I think) I wanted a new 22 pistol and was desiring the S&W Victory until three guys at my club came in with them and were unable to get them to cycle. After trips back and forth to the mothership, they were still having troubles. So, at that point, I bought a Ruger Mk IV Lite and have been VERY happy with it. About the only thing that is a PIA is that their serial numbers are on the barrel so if you want to upgrade your barrel to something 'ultra', in NYS you must register the new barrel as a gun and wait the typical 'government' bureaucracy timeliness to pick up and install your new barrel (er I mean gun.... I think). The Ruger IS a great gun and hasn't caused me a moment's difficulty since day 1. I recommend it.

I followed the advice of someone on YouTube, tweaked the ejector, and just got back from firing 60 rounds of standard velocity, high velocity, lead nose, and hollow point with not one ejection problem. Slow fire, rapid fire and no problems.

Victory jams

I bought a new Victory Performance in May 2021. It had tons of ejection, stove pipes and jams. A friend made a tweak to the ejector - it helped but it still had the problem. Through trial and error, I found the problem to be the magazines (some worse than others). If it's difficult to put a cartridge in the magazine, it will be difficult to move it out of the magazine. I gently widened the tops of the magazine "lips" just until the cartridge slipped in easily. All my problems were solved. Also, my Victory likes to be wet. It eats any .22LR ammo I put it in. However, LRN fouls up the compensator like crazy. Using coated ammo helped. I'll clean the ramp when I'm doing a lot of shooting just to keep things sliding along nicely. The fiber optic sites are a dream (after a slight adjustment). I'm a new shooter but doing well in my bullseye practice. Sweet sweet Victory.
