No, it's not to exercise more and try to lose more weight, even though I could afford to lose almost enough weight to make up a whole second person!
Well, almost!
I hereby resolve to finally take seriously my vow to dispose of one no-longer-wanted gun from the collection/accumulation for each new (to me) gun I buy for myself in 2018.
Yes, that was kinda/sorta last year's plan too, but it didn't quite work out mathematically or money-wise the way I had hoped.
The collection/accumulation is still showing net growth, albeit at a much slower pace than in years past. But at my advanced age with so few "good years" left, that's not such a good thing.
I'm not yet ready to go into full disposal mode and probably won't be for some time to come, but I really do have all I'll ever need at this point... so a policy of zero net growth really does make good sense for several reasons, not the least of which are limited safe space and ever-increasing insurance costs.
Can I really discipline myself enough this year to achieve that lofty, elusive goal?
Stay tuned.
