It is enhanced using LifeCoat treatment providing superior:

Durability
Lubricity
Corrosive Resistance
Carbon Resistance

I guess that is what the advantage is.

How much does it weigh?
How much does it cost?
What is the bolt made of?
Is it HPT/MPI?
What's the carrier made of?
How's the staking on the gas key?

Looks like a gimmick to me. I'm not having any of the issues it's supposed to correct.

Same here as I've never had any issues. I just needed something a little different. But I also never had an issues with a Shield that has a safety. Then all of a sudden they think a safety less Shield fixes some thing.

When they make this for AR10. I will surely put one in it. Weight has also been the issue with the AR10. Cut weight any which way u can.

What are you running that in? If something with a carbine length gas system, then lightening is taking you in the wrong direction. "H" buffers and using auto BCG's (because of the added weight) became popular because of timing issues in the carbines. Not saying this won't work, but IMO, a stylish non-solution to a problem with better less expensive solutions.

If you're using it in a middy or rifle, then enjoy. Hope it actually works for you.

Good Luck and good shooting.

It's running in my custom build that's mid length. Haven't had any problems with it for now. I don't own anything in carbine length, so I can't speak for those. As for weight, this thing is weightless compared to others. I'm also running an H buffer with it. Which means my bolt isnot slamming my buffer as it would normally. But there is also no problems with cycling. IMO, u could go to a lighter buffer with this if u had to. This way the bolt doesn't need to fly back in a hurry to compress the lighter buffer as it would the H buffer. For now it's all great.

Removing dollars from unsuspecting wallets... ;).

I guess if you have a big, big wallet then it probable would not make to much of a difference money wise, plus if you feel that this is what you want, then by all means go for it. It is just money. :)

My Ole lady was happy see me buy something for a gun. Instead of just buying another gun. So it was either buy this or buy another custom 1911. And we all know I surely don't need anymore 1911's at the moment lol.

Gonna make ya want to field strip your rifle after every mag if you have a bunch of shooters around you just to show it off.

Damn, that was a long sentace. :D

I'm more interested in the quality of the raw materials and the final product then it's coating and .000003 of an ounce weight difference
