Hello all ,this is my first post . I've owned 19s and 66's since 1973 .
So when this once in a life time opportunity came along in 1993 I jumped on it. I had sent my 1978 era #66 #4" in for a barrel change to a 6" and to retime it ,along with a target hammer and trigger.
They responded it would be $ 294.10 so I paid it right away .
Then a week later I believe they called me with bad news the cylinder was out of spec ,so they would honor the quoted price and replace it free of charge .
Another week goes by and I was told more bad news the frame is stretched.
They informed me, we can not return this revolver BUT we will build anything we make for the origanal 294 price ! "
Then they pushed it all of on a very talented gunsmith and all further communication was done him to I on the phone .
I thought about it for a few days , these pics show exactly what I ordered .
I got the "Colt type hi polish" I wanted I,even got to tell him how I would like the timing .
How many round butt #66 6"ers do you see . My buddy drooling over it said "yea,but it's a pimps gun !" .I said "yes but it is a very very nice pimps gun"
They threw in decals a patch a tie tack and two sets of grips the ones shown and a set of nice rubber grips .
The test target was included
Anyway sorry if I am long winded but it is my baby !
