A short list it is, and I ain't holding my breath, but where gun ownership and the Second Amendment are concerned, I would like to see:

1) Suppressors removed from NFA. If you qualify to buy a handgun you should be able buy a suppressor. No more $200 tax, no more ATF wait.

2) Even though I can't afford a machine gun, I would like to see that stupid 1986 and older restriction removed. Is a MG made after 1986 more lethal than one made before 1986?

3) Purchase of handguns in other than your home state, just like long guns now. Another stupid rule that does nothing to abate crime.

I do not want to see nationwide CCW reciprocity. Why?

What the Government giveth the government taketh away. I don't want conservatives pass nationwide reciprocity only to have the other ones come in later and restrict/regulate/amend it out of reach or existence...

What would you add?

I don't think that is really on anyones radar in congress. Too many states rights issues to derail it. States would not likely enforce anything but their own codes for CC. If it ever did make it into fed law states would likely nullify it just like they have with some other fed code.

I would add allowing less stringent rules regarding shipping handguns, allowing an individual to ship through the USPS to a FFL holder.

It seems we are getting new laws, rules, and regulations by the minute. In general I like the idea of simplifying. It seems like many of our current laws, rules, and regulations unnecessarily complicate our lives without benefit. Since your suggestions essentially simplifying the laws and regulations, without causing obvious harm, I would be for these changes. One group I can think of that would be against your second suggestion would be current owners of select fire (machine guns) as the value their previously supply-limited guns would possibly decline.
