Naked bullets & Magna-Porting

Looking for opinions as how fast I can drive 240 gr. swcl .44 bullets from a 6" magna-ported barrel w/o leading up the ports. 850-900 fps??

I am driving very soft 45-70 bullets from a ported Marlin at 1450 with no leading.

Only way I know to lead up a Mag-Na-Port is to hold the ports under a lead furnace and pour away.

You'll NEVER plug them up shooting the gun. You will get a little lead on the sides of the front sight - not much and it cleans up easily, but no plugging.

I wouldn't push a lot of real hot loads through it. I did that to my SS 4 inch, 657 and over the years the gas escaping from the ports melted a little of the barrel over them.
