Name the TV program

The Red Skelton show had some great humor and I always watched it.

The Honeymooners, Gleason always will be number 1 with me.

I always loved it when he said:"One of these days Alice, just one of these days...POW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!--RIGHT IN THE KISSER.:!!!!!!!

The last one sounds like Columbo......

Get Smart
The Ed Sullivan Show
You Bet Your Life
Star Trek
All in the Family
The Prisoner
Columbo
Hee Haw (The summer replacement that turned into a hit)

I'm not surprised people don't remember "The Prisoner". Patrick McGoohan was a secret agent who, on his resignation, is taken to an island and subjected to brainwashing. It was surrealistic and obtuse with conversations sometimes nothing but non sequitur. At the end of the intro after being questioned he states, "I am not a number. I am a free man."

PS Something that some may remember about 'The Prisoner'. Whenever he would try to escape from the island they sent these giant pink bubble gum balls to catch him and bring him back. The image of him being smothered by one was kind of disturbing.

This was a fun trip down memory lane. We'll have to do more.

I think the 'worst' thing I ever heard Red Skelton say was to a lady looking for her purse and was told, "You'll have to go to Helen Hunt for it.":):):)

Gloom, despair and agony on me.....

Thank you, I forgot that tune.

I'll sing the "Gloom, Despair and Agony on me" at work when someone whines. Not many get it, but they all think I'm nuts.

Deep, dark depression, excessive misery (ohhhhh)

If it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all (ohhhh)

Gloom, despair and agony on me.
