Hi! Can someone tell me how big or how good of a gunshow, they have at Stout Field In Indianapolis. There is a show there in November, I was considering going to. Any info on this show will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Mikey

Hi Mikey.

I've been to the show a couple of times over the years and been pretty disappointed both times. As you know, shows change over the years and it's been 5 years since I've been to that one.

I'd hold out for the Indy 1500 or Louisville show, if having to travel very far.

I'm pretty sure this is a different promoter than did the shows a few years back. Tom and Karen Allman, Tristate gunshows, are hosting these shows now and they run a good gun show. Since it's going to be at a National Guard Armory it will probably be just a bit larger than a basketball court. Tom treats his vendors well, his normal entrance fee is $5 and parking is usually free. So is the coffee. I've never been to his Indy show but he tells me the Thanksgiving show is a good one. I seldom miss his Seymour, Salem or Madison shows and, were it not for him, Kenny Woods and RK would have never been able to get in the Louisville market. I just don't like Indianoplace and if I go to a show over TG it will be rburg's show at Rupp in Lexington.

This is correct. If they can fill up Stout Armory, it will be a good size show. Besides the "gym", there is also another room adjoining and a hallway for overflow. Back in the day this was a great show. Not nearly as big as the 1500, but like it was said, Tom does a good show in Seymour. I always drive down to that one and it's almost 2 hours for me.

stout armory

Thyanks for the info on the Stout Armory show. Those promoters do a show in Evansville. Sometimes it is really bad and sometimes it is outstanding. If lots of dealers show up, it is a good show, 5 bucks at the door, and free parking. Thanks for everyones input. Mikey
