National lampoon magazine

This brings back memories!

I remember the first time I saw it- I was a sophomore in HS. I couldn't believe my eyes! It was like MAD, only better!

I subbed for years. I remember reading Vacation '58 and thinking it was one of the funniest stories I'd ever read.

There's a video (I won't post a link!) called "Drunk, Stoned, Brilliant, Dead" giving the background of how it all started. I bought it and have it in my Amazon library. I highly recommend it to anyone who liked the magazine.

Found a link to it in pdf…thanks.

The FFFB was a popular underground comic book series by Gilbert Shelton. I think I've still got a half dozen or so issues around here somewhere.

Way back when I read them all, plus Fat Freddy's Cat and Zippy the Pinhead.

I like to use one of Freewheelin' Franklin's quotes, only altered just a little:

"Having ammo in times of no money is better than having money in times of no ammo!"

So, since we're talking about the magazine, does anyone remember the National Lampoon Radio Hour? Brilliant!!

I don't remember that, but I do have on vinyl National Lampoon's White Album, from 1980. Posting a photo would certainly get me a ding, so use Google Images if you'd like to see it. Let's just say it would be considered politically incorrect, especially in today's climate!
