Any one know if shooter at
Florida Navy base was a sailor ?
Florida Navy base was a sailor ?
I think the one at Pearl was a sailor, and the one at Pensacola was a Saudi pilot trainee.
Smells bad from the git go.
They haven't been forthcoming about ANYTHING except, "The Shooter is dead." Wonder why they were keeping quiet on this one.![]()
Thank goodness the police were there.......and ARMED!
Military personnel aren't allowed to be armed when on base, except for security forces. But three sheriff's deputies were there, and armed. And what would their jurisdiction be on a U.S. military station?
Reported that 3 other Saudi students were filming the shooting.
Can we a have a source for a credibility check, please.
Official: Base shooter watched shooting videos before attack
"PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) — The Saudi student who fatally shot three people at a U.S. naval base in Florida hosted a dinner party earlier in the week where he and three others watched videos of mass shootings, a U.S. official told The Associated Press on Saturday.
One of the three students who attended the dinner party videotaped outside the building while the shooting was taking place at Naval Air Station Pensacola on Friday, said the U.S. official, who spoke on condition of anonymity after being briefed by federal authorities. Two other Saudi students watched from a car, the official said."
Hero Naval Academy grad shot 5 times at Naval Air Station relayed crucial information before succumbing to injuries | Fox News
"A young graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, whose dream was to become a pilot, is being hailed a hero after he reportedly related crucial information about the identity of the Naval Air Station Pensacola shooter to first responders, despite having been shot several times, a family member revealed...
...Watson's father Benjamin told USA Today that his son was the officer on deck at the time of the shooting and sustained at least five gunshot wounds before being able to make it out to relay important information about the shooter before succumbing to his injuries."
Being it was a Saudi it could be a sticky wicket for sure.
Many of the personnel in the Saudi military are sons of high ranking military. That in turn means that they have connections to the rulers of the country.
.
I don't see any conspiracy to "keep quiet" about this, no cover up.
My question would be...why were they there? Were they called to the scene, or were they already in place. And why wasn't the problem handled by base security personnel instead of civilian law enforcement? Why would someone call the cops when there are supposed to be trained military security people already there?

We have NO friends in the Middle East - no exceptions.
The firearm purchase was apparently legal because of a loophole for people with hunting licenses.... the Saudi shooter had apparently been undergoing flight training ....
Another report said the shooter used a Glock which he had bought locally and legally. I wonder how that came to happen?

The stranger part to me is that a Saudi flying a plane, intent on terrorism, choose to use a handgun instead of the plane, like his countrymen did on 9/11

Yeah, I don't know. I'm just passing on what I just heard on the eleven o'clock news tonight here in Florida. How can a non-citizen purchase a firearm even if they can purchase a hunting license.....makes no sense......
How can a non-citizen purchase a firearm even if they can purchase a hunting license.....makes no sense.....that he would meet these requirements per the ATF FAQs......
