It's coming up in June, anyone have suggestions/ideas on where to go? We're not big fans of ocean liners or jumping out of an airplane. We've been to Alaska and Disney World. Just plain simple aging midwestern folks. Thanks...

For your 25th take her to Europe, for your 50th go back and get her.

Congratulations to you both . Maybe a nice portrait of the two of you, that gift would be appreciated by everyone in your family for generations.
Of course some nice new clothes or Jewelry fit for the occasion would be a good thing too.

I bought my wife and nice stainless silver Tag watch.

All I got was this:

Paris.

The air fares are good, along with the Euro exchange rates. You'll have a great time in one of the best cities on our planet.

She'll also be there with you to celebrate with you again on your 50th.

Worked for me!

For a great getaway, Door County Wisconsin is hard to beat. Many fine places to stay, many to eat. Beautiful scenery, interesting shops. Not as romantic as Paris, but a lot less hassle.

Your OP knocks my suggestion out of the running. For our 25th (in June of '06) we flew to Honolulu and did a 7-day cruise of the islands with a two day post-cruise layover for me to "do" Pearl Harbor. Loved it.

Congratulations on your 25th anniversary.... whatever you decide to do to celebrate it!

Don't rule out the big boats. I took my wife for a carribean cruise for our 25th and it was the absolute best vacation we ever had.
The crew on that boat has one job, to spoil you rotton. They are very good at it! :D

well for our 25th, our daughter was married just a couple months before so that sort of took precedent that year.

But.... for our 20th (close enough lol), while on a trip to FL i surprised her with a sunrise (on the beach) renewal of our vows that i had all set up beforehand. Went quite well.

Congratulations!

Have you ever been to New England?
There are some beautiful places up there.

Lodging from quaint B&B.s. to four star resorts.
Food from clam shacks to ultra fine dining.
Mountains or ocean.

Newport, R.I. is a great place to spend a week. The bay, the ocean, the old robber baron mansions, and great seafood.

Cape Cod, the White Mountains in N.H., anywhere in Vermont, Maine coast or mountains (gotta watch out for the Maineiacs, though:D).

Hikes, day boat trips, fishing, history, and food. Lots of good food.

Of course June is the high season, so if you want to go, you'd better plan right now.

No matter what you do, have a great time.

If you've never been to the islands, surprise her and book a room at the Kaua'i Marriott Resort Kaua'i, HI. The two of you can get there and stay for 5 days for about $3k and do lots of things. She will not be disappointed and you will NEVER forget the trip...promise. We did it for our 30th and love this island the best of all.

A pair of Model 25s.
One blue, one nickle.
Since it is your anniversary be sure to get the box and tools for both.

LET HER PICK OUT WHICH ONE SHE WANTS!

One of the thing only YOU can do, is put thought into the things she and you like. I got a large wicker picnic hamper (big basket) and filled it with thing she liked (and I could stand to do with her). I started with a card on the outside telling her that "25 years with her was a picnic." some suggestions will follow, but these items can be small and symbolic or of exaggerated size for effect. Of course the cost will be entirely up to you. Ivan

25 of her favorite candy bars (I went with the little ones, so she won't complain about calories)
25 favorite movies (include the movie from first date!)
25 gift cards to restaurants (that means 25 dates)
Dance lessons for both of you
25 cards of best wishes from old friends-takes alot of prep! (send about 40 out and hope you get 25 back!)
A framed photo of the two of you when you were dating.

You get the idea. Our anniversary is in May, we often go to the NRA convention, but I think she prefers to stay home. Ivan

Since our anniversery is in December I had a necklace made with 25 hand cast silver snowflakes and an emerald for her birthstone set in the center one.

Very nice.

Better than tossing a dead seal in the front yard and saying "I thought you'd like a romantic dinner for our anniversary. Call me when it's ready."

I know, I'm just a romantic old *******.

Niagara Falls, slowly I turn.

It's a beautiful on the Canadian side, sad to say the US side isn't as nice.
