Not many barns for the homeless nowadays. I knew of an old guy who lived in a dugout in the hills. Lots of homeless nowadays though. A $20 a hour job is $3200 a month, and about 2400-2600 after taxes. Hard to rent an apartment, buy a car and have insurance on that.
The only saving grace is that while those at the top own a higher and higher percentage of the wealth there is more wealth. WHEN we no longer create more actual wealth the real trouble will start. But, that does not factor in control, the higher the percentage a group controls the more they can and will control society. They do not need a conspiracy to do so, because for the most part they think alike anyway and will do what is best for their bottom line
Example:
When there is $100,000 and the bottom 50% have 10% of it the have $10,000 When there is $1,000,000 and the bottom 50% only have 2.5% they have $25,000
But, just like a poker table it is much easier to control the table when you have 97% of the chips and the other players only have 3% of them. Especially when you can keep raising the blinds
