Need advice - best AR-15?

I've got two both Bushmasters. Never had a lick of trouble from either of them. The 24-inch heavy barrel Varmint with 1-8" twist and two stage trigger is accurate for anything you could possibly need a .223/5.56 for. The other is a 16 inch tactical and it's plenty accurate too.

How do you like the 24" varmint, any negatives? This one is on my short list.

I've owned an early 1970s Colt SP 1 for many years. It gives good service and is very accurate (1 1/4-inch 5-shot groups at 100 yards from bench rest) with open sights. I'm not a huge fan of the AR 15 or .223 so don't require much out of them and don't keep up with them.
