Need advice on 66-6

LGS has a hardly shot mod 66-6. Looks ans
D feels really nice. Does CTT 0229 sound like a ser num? He wants $649. 4" bbl I think, don't remember. Thoughts?

That's the s/n. December 2012. That must of be among the first of the "new" K-frames. Does it have the ball-detent and two piece barrel?

I don't know. It has the internal lock and that has turned me off. It sure is a nice piece though. Feels great in the hand. Of course I want every smith I pick up

If you don't like the lock, you're in luck! There's a gazillion pre-lock M66's out there. Those were common law enforcement guns for decades, and very popular with civilian shooters as well. You should have no problem finding a no-lock M66.

Unless it's unfired w box & papers, I'd say that's a bit more than a C-note too much for a -6.

The -7 had the first 2-piece bbl and was discontinued 2005, IIRC.
