Need an OWB for Model 36

Akers' Bodyguard pancake (snap or no snap) for J-frames is a bit more robust than Desantis' equivalent holsters. Both are a bit above $60, though they used to be ~$60. Don Hume JIT might be in your budget, but they are not as secure as I'd like after some wear. Don Hume is running a sale and Thier 721 is in or near your budget. 721 is better than the JIT.

Simply Rugged pancake is good quality, but if you have hte boot grips, harder to draw given the design.

I just purchased a like new Roy’s Original Pancake holster for a model 60 off EBay for less than thirty bucks. It is a dandy little holster that fits close and secure to the body, and it started quite a trend in the early 70s that continues to this day.

While I am a very nostalgic kind of guy and have many old nostalgic holster (some I bought & some I inherited from my Dad) many of the old designs now really scare me. They rely solely on retention straps with a snap and that is something I dislike. In fact any holster that incorporates straps, snaps, velcro, screws, and is made to have an exposed trigger guard is not something I'd actually use anymore. Maybe for a day at the Range but that's about it!

Holster designs have come such a long way over the last decade or so and for all intents and purposes have made old nostalgic holster designs obsolete.
