First is a Model 40.

The second one I have no idea what it is.

If I could get some info on both as well as an approximate value I would greatly appreciate it

Thanks for the replies.

The second one is a .38

About how old is the model 40 and can anyone give an approximate value on it?

Model numbers began in '57 / '58, and the series ran through 1971 at serial number 30160 so I'd guess yours is late '50 to early '60s, but there was no routine number per year so it truly is only a guess.

It appears your Model 40 has some cosmetic challenges, but that might be glare making me think that. Considering what I perceive to be cosmetic challenges I'd put in the in $400 - $450 range.
