Recently I acquired a 2nd model civilian Schofield with the side plate hammer pivot screw missing. The hammer still pivots, but... I have two problems, number 1, I am not sure if I remove the Schofield sight/lever screw to remove the plate will it dislodge the sight/lever spring and then not sure how to put back together??? and number 2, is the side plate pivot screw just missing or broken off in the pivot pin ??? I will be able to determine if I remove the side plate after assuring problem 1 is satisfied... SO WHAT I NEED IS EXPERT ACTUAL KNOWLEDGEABLE ADVISE ON REMOVING THE PLATE AND THEN WHERE I MIGHT GET A REPLACEMENT PLATE SCREW OR THE ENTIRE PIVOT PIN/SCREW COMBO.. thanks much gents... REALLY LOVE MY NEW SCHOFIELD...
