Got a new/old 4506 today with no book. Came apart and cleaned up fine. Need the book or online instructions or any help to reassemble this jewel so that it functions. It's sorta' like a 1911...just different. It's tough being a rookie.
Thx-Steve

If you go to YouTube and search for 4506 takedown, there is a good video on there. Does better than me trying to explain. Hope this helps some.

I wouldn't go that far. I do hope the video(s) help. Believe there are 2 posted S&W 4506 Advanced Takedown (1 and 2). If they don't show it good enough, you can search for S&W Field Stripping, I think there is a 6906 video on there as well, which should be the same procedure. Also if you search for 4566TSW, there is one video of some long distance shooting with the 4566TSW, but the end of it has a field strip video which I thought was done pretty well. I would try to walk you through it, but think the videos do a better job.

Duct tape. Wait, you said correctly... What novalty said, great instruction on there.

I find that when in doubt I can usually find relevant info on Youtube, which is a big surprise. There's also first class knowledge here, so you're on the right track. Welcome aboard!

Hey Steve,

I made a huge mistake. You said the 4506 model, they don't go back together once you take them apart, please mail the broken gun to me, and I will dispose of it in my safe. Can't believe I made such a monumental error. You have my deepest apologies :D
