My mother was contacted by her aunt this afternoon. Mom's fathers sister. She is doing some family geneolgy. Aparently there is a book that contains quite a bit of my family history and we are trying to locate a copy of this out of print book. If anyone has any info on where I might be able to obtain a copy, please let me know.
The book is titled "Pushmataha County, The Early Years" by Dorothy Arnote West.
My Great Grandfather was a dentist in Antlers Oklahama during the great depression.

We've found that a lot of libraries won't release these type of books on inter-library loan. If they won't, your Aunt might try contacting the library or the local historical society and see if they will copy the pertinent data for her. There probably will be a charge, but what the hey.
Also, I assume she has already discovered ancestry.com

Try bookfinder.com, I found a book about my parents hometown on there, written by my dads old shop teacher. My dad found his picture in it and several of his dad.

I went ahead and tried it, no luck. I did find some books on the countys history by just entering "Pushmataha County". Try back until you find what you are looking for, they do get new listings.

Go to the link, the book is the first item and it appears it is still available from the county historical society for $40. This is their site and has contact information for the society. I guess it depends on how bad you want it. In the search results I also found the article about Antlers from the book.

A search hint. When you are looking for something specific like this title put it in quotes, "Pushmataha County, The Early Years", just like you did in your post and it will search exact phrase instead of individual words within the phrase.
