Need ID help for belt buckle

Can someone help ID this buckle? It belonged to my dad, and was probably purchased between 1975-1982 since it was in his collection along with The Horse Thief, 125th Anniversary, The Hostiles, .357 Magnum Cylinder, etc. Thanks!

Welcome to the Forum. You have an aftermarket convertible style buckle that the center piece is removable and you can install whatever you want there. Silver dollar, logo for any gun maker, or any other entity. It is not an official S&W authorized belt buckle and was never sold by S&W. Nevertheless, it's an attractive buckle and a priceless family heirloom, if it was once worn by your Dad. Ed.

That's a gorgeous buckle, officially licensed or not. I'd buy a nice western belt and wear it proudly.
