I have this Model 40 that I will be selling for an estate that i need help on.
Thanks!

1. What year was it made
2. Does it look to have been refinished
3. Does it look like the model has been ground or corroded away
4. Any idea for a value on this gun as it is

It pre-dates model numbers, so it's simply referred to as a Centennial. It probably dates to around 1956.

Yes, it was poorly refinished. I'm not sure on current value, but I suspect $400 would be top dollar.

? I don't see a photo.

Well you're one up on me!

I don't see a photo either, and I have no clue as to what a "Model 40" is without taking the time to look it up.

I know all the names--damn few of the numbers--and I used to have one of these---back when they had names.

Times were simpler back in the olden days--made some sense too!

Thanks to Chad for posting the pictures. None
of the original poster's pics show for me

Sadly, this Centennial was over buffed and poorly refinished.

You're welcome!
You can't see the photos because the OP put them in an album that he listed as "private". Albums need to be "Public" if you want members to be able to view the photos.
