Need some help with M52

At the range Thursday shooting my M52-2, had about 2 shots left when the magazine fell out of the gun. Tried to re insert and it kept falling out. Looking at my mag release I see this:

Fortunately I was standing on a concrete pad and was able to find these:

Looking for help on how to put back together. Looks like the pin goes in the spring and the button screws on?? Left or right hand threads? Any help appreciated.

Mort94, man thats a new one, never seen that before. Yea, pin in spring,
and screw the nut on. Make a spanner screw driver and tighten it up.

Very interesting. It's hard to understand how the plunger could've been depressed enough for the catch nut to unscrew.

No yet, trying to clear a space in case I launch the pin

If you are worried about loosing the pin get some 2 gallon clear ziplock bags and assemble the parts in the bag that way if you launch it it stays in the bag.

I agree with you Sevens. It drives me nuts when someone asks for help with something and receives some helpful returns only to never close out the thread. There should be a "blacklist" for people that do that.
