Need some help

Hi,

I have an old S&W M&P in .38 special that I inherited from my grandfather. The only down side is that there is a bulge in the barrel and it had been suggested that I should not shoot the pistol and get the barrel replaced. So two questions where do I get a barrel and who you guys recommend I send it to?

I live in Orange County if there are any local recommendations.

What was the reason given for not shooting it? Bulged barrels can be shot safely all day long and I've never shot one that didn't shoot just as good as it did before being bulged. I wouldn't put any money ino this gun. Just shoot and enjoy it.

look on gunbroker for a barrel, I think you should find something that will work pretty cheap. $30..

OK. I was told it a while ago. I believe what I was told was that it could cause a round to get stacked in there?
