Need Suggestions For What To Do In Vegas

... and honestly its more for our wives to have a getaway than anything else.

MK, I like your way of thinking, and wish you and your bride luck in LV. :)

In the future, perhaps looking at your dilemma from a slightly different perspective might offer better odds of success, oui?

Lots of options around Paris in the springtime. :)

It's been close to fifty years since I was last in Vegas. What I did then was get a roll of nickels, put them through a five cent slotas fast as I could, and got the h——- out of town.

What I would do today is rent a car, buy some camping gear at Wal-Mart, and drive up to Death Valley for the duration. When done, return the camping gear for credit and get the h—— out of town.

Well thanks again for all the suggestions, got to pack my suitcase and head to the airport in a couple hours. Apparently Customs is requiring extra time these days. Have a good week folks!

Check out the newest Gun Clubs and be sure to visit Lindo Michoacan for the absolute best Mexican food. The Desert Inn store is the best. Seriously, even if tacos are disliked. There are so many other incredible dishes. Javier Barajas is one of the best of Las Vegas. Google "Best of Las Vegas" for local views and local newspaper favorites. More than restaurants!

Sorry, I thought my last post hadn't made it...

Even if you're not a fan of restaurant food, I promise Lindo will be memorable.

If I could find a range (preferably out of the city) with a bit of room to stretch it out there is nothing I'd like more than to spend the day with a rifle and a pile of ammo to work on my distance shooting.

The Clark County Shooting Complex is about 30 minutes north of The Strip. The wife and I have been there a few times. You can shoot rifle, pistol, shotgun, archery, and have lunch at the Road Kill Grill! You'll know you're at the right place when you see the illegal aliens at the entrance :).

Only fun thing I can think of to do in Vegas is to rent a Harley and get out of town for a while.

I've heard lots about the Clark range, would like to look into that but might not have time.

Turns out after one night I have been busy since I got here. A bunch of guys I used to work with were on the same plane and I've kept busy reconnecting with a few of them.

Plus is the fact that I'm away from home with the wife. I love my 4 kids but day to day life is hectic. Had a leisure morning with her and a pot of room service coffee. I realized it doesn't have to be an action-packed day to be a good one.

She is at a hockey game right now and I am sitting on my hotel balcony sipping a glass of Four Roses. I got a shoe shine earlier and am loving how 10 bucks turned my old boots into new. Little things.

Back from the trip now, a little lighter in the pocket. It was a good trip after all. Avoided Cirque shows (win), ate some good food, and I tried my hand in the casino after all these years. I lost 25 bucks and learned my lesson.

I also made the biggest impulse buy of my life, always wanted one of these since I saw Steve McQueen wearing it in Le Mans.

Mine's a new issue, and its not the exact replica. Mine doesn't have the matte face or the crown on the left. Close enough for me, and the wife says I'm NOT buying another one!

After that purchase, I kinda just laid low and tried avoiding spending any more money....

I forgot one more bon mot about Las Vegas.....You have undoubtedly heard of the Las Vegas publicity slogan that was promoted all over the world: "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas." Well, I'm here to tell you that slogan is NOT the official slogan of Las Vegas. The real slogan is: "Keep Las Vegas green, BRING MONEY!" .... :-)

Very few come back from Vegas with heavier pockets.

While I was there this time I gambled for the first time ever in Vegas. I played craps and ended up losing about $20. Meh, I'm not bothered by it, I knew what I was getting into and I spent about an hour and a half doing it.

I saw the concrete convention, but didn't stop by. I never knew anything like that existed.
