Needing a new 3"(ish) magnum... Model 66-8, 69, or 629 Talo?

Good grief I can't make up my mind. I'm leaning towards the big bore since I already own a 686 plus 3". But then again the K frame is the perfect size and with the 69 I'm getting another L frame.

I've carried my S&W 627 2.6 in barrel for 6 months now. N frame 8 shot. If you check the specs not much difference in weight or length to the 66 or 69. Carry in a simply rugged holster is comfortable. Of course you know it's there but honestly doesn't bother me at all. Have fun choosing.

Is there any way to change out the black parts for stainless to get a more traditional look? I imagine the screws and cylinder release will be easy. But what about the ejector rod?

Just got this back from my gunsmith today. A 629-3 Classic that started out with a full lug a 6.5" barrel, I had him cut a Mountain Gun barrel to 3.5" and install on it. My new "woods & hoods" gun.
