Gunna be a FUN day today....

Congrats on the FUN 2001gmc................

..

Wow with a slide fire even rolling your own bullets could get to be expensive and time consuming but I would like to do it once!!

Hey stavman, if I'm understanding you correctly you swap your slidefire between the 15 and 15-22. Did you do trigger work to the 22? I ask because I have both also and the slidefire and runs great on the 223. I threw it on the 22 and was able to get mostly 3-8 shot runs but I'm running factory trigger, haven't gone down around 3 pounds yet. Technique REALLY comes into play on the 22 tho

I wish there was a range that just rented the slide-fire stock. I don't want to buy one, but I wouldn't mind trying it out. :)

Sorry Didnt see this post Bud... race Weekend so been selective on my POSt reading....LOL

yes to Both...

I have a timney trigger in my 15-22 and it DUMPS my 50rd drum easily and all 19 of my 25rd mags........ get the Timney or Comparable Trigger... and FULL RETARDATION is at your Finger tips:eek::D

once you have the Timney trigger... no technique is needed..... you may get some light Strikes on occasion..... but mainly if Gun is dirty or Too oily....

i basicaly moded a Handgrip with a dremel and swap the Slide fire between my 2 M&P's..... STUPID FUN!!!

Can you aim the rifle with the slide fire on burst of 2 or 3?

i can Burst 3-6 rounds and hit most anything at 25yds..... hit a target at 50yds..... Hit a, well, person size target at 100yds

I can FULL mag dump at 25yds and Disinigrate most anything Now......

Ill try and get a Picture of a 1gal WD40 can tomorrow.. or a video of a Watermelon....

yes... it is Not cheap ta dump 30rds in 4 seconds.... BUT FREAKIN EH IS IT FUN!!!!!:D

I can do whatever I want at any Time.... I have a VFG and AVG and FULL dump anytime. You Dont REALLY hold it per-Say.... Ya just... well.. Caress it:D Fondle it is Better....unless its .223..... THEN FREAKING Hold the F' ON for sure.... Cuz its ROCKING!!!!....:cool::D

Lock it in place and Single Shot plinking is Dialed... and in Slide fire Mode ya can still Single shot as well..

Only tool Needed is the Allen Wrench they send ya

Stock has , I think, 2 Positions when Fixed, Closed and open.... once ya get one you;; know what that means;)

Just get it.......

NO!!!! it is Not Cost effective:mad: But do we buy all the Guns because of Investment value.... NO!!!

Get a Slide fire.... have a HUGE grin on yer face... and all yer friends will be Envious.........

YA BABY!!!

Nice. I was thinking about making a custom block to leave on the 22 also because I don't like dealing with the springs every day I go shoot. Let's face it, whenever you hit the range you wanna dump some mags in both calibers, but that means field-swapping your block. Got any pictures of your custom handgrip block?

You know, thinking about it again, all you need is the base of the grip to hold your springs right? Wouldn't the stock still fit on the gun if the block wasn't there? I know it wouldn't function, just thinking in theory. I work out of town so I won't get my hands on it again til next week so I'm just picturing it in my head.

Basically I cut the Stock Grip down to Match the Slide Fire Block

Used a dremel cutoff wheel and Sanding wheel to add the Notches/channel the stock glides on....

took me maybe 1hr

I have the one i made on my M&P Sport and the pretty one on my 15-22

Actually real easy ta do.... just lay the old one next to it... made a few RUFF cut lines with a Sharpy... started hacking... also used a Grinding wheel for some ruff sanding then used the Dremel to pretty it up....

Hope this helps

Thank you. It definitely helps. I'll be doin this when I get home. Do you think if I went a little shorter with the block (shorter than the notch it slides in) just to do away with the notch, that the lesser friction coefficient would help? I just don't know how sloppy the grip would be afterwards because the only thing holding it in place is the buffer tube. I guess without the notch it has the possibility of tilting and binding up at the buffer tube. Guess I answered my own question lol

Exactly thats why the notch is needed

Put the Stock Block on yer 15-22 so it slides as well as It can... put the hand made on the Ar15... it dosent need to be perfect, but be sure and test it so it dosent bind... I had to test a few times to trim it correctly.....

be sure and Post yer pics when done bud:D
